About Bednesher — a family vacation apartment in the Golan Heights
Bednesher is a two-bedroom vacation apartment in Ma'ale Gamla, a small village on the western slopes of the Golan Heights in northern Israel. A sandy beach on the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret) is about five minutes away by car. Yoel and Esther host every guest personally and confirm each stay by hand — there is no automated check-out and no key box.
Your hosts
We are Yoel and Esther. We live in the village and look after the apartment ourselves, so the person answering your message is the person who will greet you. We answer in English, Hebrew and German, usually within a few minutes.
Because we host directly, we can be flexible about arrival times, cots for babies, longer stays and questions about the region. Just ask when you send a request.
The apartment
The apartment is self-contained: two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living area with a sofa, a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and hotplate, a washing machine and dryer, a large roof terrace and a garden with a trampoline. Bikes are available for rides around the village.

The area
Ma'ale Gamla is a good base for the Galilee and the Golan. Duga beach and the Kinneret shore are minutes away; Gamla nature reserve, the Meshushim hexagon pool, Nahal El Al, Majrase and Jordan Park are short drives. Capernaum, Tabgha, Magdala, Kursi, Susita and Mount Arbel are all within easy reach for anyone travelling to see the biblical sites.
House rules, in a friendly tone
We live in the same house and share the entrance with you, so a little consideration late at night goes a long way. Water and electricity are precious here in the Golan, so please switch off the air conditioning and lights when you go out. Leave the kitchen and its utensils clean after cooking, empty the fridge of your food before you leave, and check out by 10:00 so we have time to prepare the apartment for the next family. We host families, so there are no parties, and pets cannot be accommodated.
How booking works
You send a stay request with your dates and we reply with a confirmation and the price. Nothing is charged online. The live availability calendar on the site shows which nights are already taken.
